Focus on Affirmation

Self control and self talk are at work here as self confidence begins to grow. Wild urges no longer draw us away from the path we have chosen. Now those wild urges Strengthen and fill us with lust for the life we are leading.

I am the Snow Leopard.
I am hunted to extinction.
If you see me you stare at my beauty and grace.
You capture me for your pleasure with cameras and cages.
You shoot me, skin me, decorate your life with my dead pelt.
I have more beauty than my pelt can show.
Yet I live.
This pelt lives.
It has long sharp claws And teeth that will tear your flesh.
And if I see you--I will hunt you I will chase you, and you cannot get away.
I will not kill you quickly-- Your heart will pound with terror, as mine has. Your head will bleed, as do my memories.
Your guts will spill out in the dirt, like the dirtiness you spill out on me.
You will see my green eyes--staring into yours And you will know that your wildness is dead.
My mountain top home is cold and harsh and ugly But it is mine.
